Paw-Paw

About Paw-Paw

Paw-Paw is a free desktop pet for the Mac. A small animal lives in the corner of your screen and keeps you company while you work. It taps along as you type and click, naps when you take a break, and now and then says something encouraging. Click it and it says hello.

As you use your Mac you earn XP, level up, and unlock new Paw-Paws and things for them to wear. Fast bursts of work set it On Fire for double XP. Season 2, out October 1, 2026, adds many new Paw-Paws and items, a Library window for browsing them, achievements, and secret Paw-Paw and item pairings to find.

My wife and I make Paw-Paw together. We love cute art, and we hope Paw-Paw can become a home for it. The game stays free. What we want is to promote small artists: give them a way to bring their characters to life as Paw-Paws and items, and share the proceeds with them. The first artist collection, with illustrations by Illustrain, is out now.
