Calling all character artists!
Every current animal and item is included at no extra charge and unlocks through progression; there are no live in-app purchases. We are looking for artists who want to sell future Paw-Paw character and item designs through a profit-sharing model. If that sounds interesting, reach out with your portfolio and the kinds of designs you would want to make.
We're after originals with personality, not filler. Nothing paid is live yet; this is a future collaboration path we want to build with artists carefully.

Is Paw-Paw free?
Yes. Paw-Paw is free in public beta today. There are no live in-app purchases, subscriptions, accounts, or ads. Every current animal and hat is included at no extra charge; animals and cosmetics unlock through progression.
What is a desktop pet?
A desktop pet is a small animated character that lives on your screen alongside your other windows. Paw-Paw's pet sits on your Mac desktop and reacts to your typing and clicks — a tiny companion that keeps you company while you work or study.
Does Paw-Paw work on Mac?
Yes. Paw-Paw 0.1.9 is a native app for macOS 13 or later. Its universal binary runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. It's macOS only — there's no Windows version. You download it directly, with no App Store or sign-up.
Does Paw-Paw record my keystrokes?
No. Input monitoring, pet state, and cosmetics are processed on your Mac. Paw-Paw observes input event types, not typed characters, and never logs or transmits typed content. It checks its CDN for updates and sends usage analytics or crash diagnostics only if you opt in.
How many characters and hats are there?
Paw-Paw 0.1.9 includes 11 illustrated animals and 73 cosmetics. Animals and cosmetics unlock through progression at no extra charge. The app is in public beta, so the catalog can change in later versions.
