The short version: Paw-Paw is a free desktop pet for Mac, made with care and currently in public beta. There are no live in-app purchases today. Use it, enjoy it, don't redistribute or misuse it, and understand it's provided as-is while we keep improving it. Your statutory consumer rights always apply.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Paw-Paw application and the paw-paw.pet website (together, the "Service"), provided by Daystrom OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17537299), Tornimäe tn 5, Tallinn 10145 ("we", "us", "our"). Full provider details are in our legal notice. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Paw-Paw is a desktop pet for macOS: a small animated companion that reacts to your typing and lets you collect cosmetic items. The Service is offered free of charge today, and there are currently no live in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid cosmetics. We may introduce clearly disclosed optional paid artist-designed character or item sets in the future, but nothing paid is live now. Paw-Paw is currently in public beta, which means it is still under active development and may contain bugs, change significantly, or have features added or removed over time.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Paw-Paw on devices you own or control, for your own personal and internal use, subject to these Terms.

Paw-Paw includes original work and third-party components. Copyright and licence notices are available in the app's Acknowledgements. The Paw-Paw name, logo, original website content, and any artwork in which Daystrom or its licensors hold enforceable rights are protected to the extent applicable law provides; third-party components remain governed by their respective rights and licence terms. Except for the licence in section 2, nothing in these Terms transfers any rights in the Service to you.
If you send us ideas, suggestions, feedback, animal requests, or artwork through the contact form or otherwise, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them to operate and improve Paw-Paw, without obligation to you. If you are an artist interested in selling future Paw-Paw character or item designs through a profit-sharing model, please say that explicitly when you contact us so we can discuss separate terms before using your paid-design work. Please don't send us anything you consider confidential or that you don't have the right to share. We always appreciate the input.
The Service may link to third-party websites or rely on third-party providers (for example, for hosting and downloads). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties. Your use of their services is governed by their own terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. As beta software, it may behave unexpectedly — we recommend you use it accordingly.
This disclaimer does not affect any mandatory legal guarantee of conformity for digital content or services that applies to you as a consumer under EU or local law. If the app does not work as it should, you keep whatever statutory remedies that law gives you, free of charge.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daystrom OÜ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because Paw-Paw is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.
Paw-Paw is evolving software, so we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it). For a change that would materially and negatively affect your ability to use the app, we will give you reasonable notice where we can (for example, an in-app or website notice), and you are always free to stop using and uninstall Paw-Paw.
We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Estonia, unless applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
